Ion Channel Modulation Symposium - US 2023

We are excited to invite you to the Ion Channel Modulation Symposium at the University of California Irvine School of Medicine. The forthcoming meeting is a collaborative effort co-hosted by Sophion Bioscience and the University of California, Irvine (UCI) – School of Medicine. The symposium takes place on Wednesday and Thursday, October 18-19, 2023, at The Beckman Center, 100 Academy, Irvine, CA.

Keynote speaker Prof. Ardem Patapoutian – Scripps Research, Howard Hughes Medical Institute,
Dean’s Distinguished Lecture Series, Community Lecture, “The role of PIEZO ion channels in sensory biology”

The ICMS® brings together a broad range of people from academia, CROs and the pharmaceutical industry to discuss the science of ion channel modulation. Our symposium will feature more than 20 speakers from labs around the world presenting to around 130 attendees.

The event is now fully booked.

Sophion Ion Channel Modulation Symposium
Sophion-ICMS-5

Invited speakers will address diverse research areas over two days of talks and poster sessions, spiced up with breaks long enough to meet new people and forge new relationships. From voltage-gated to ligand-gated channels, from structural biology to drug discovery, the meeting covers a broad range of ion channels, present important issues in modulating these targets for drug discovery purposes, and aims to explore new technologies and approaches to the research.

Take a look at what some of our guests have to say about ICMS:

  • "A conference that is at the top of my list in 30 years of meetings. The blend of expertise and sociability is fantastic. I recommend people go. Ion channels don't know how lucky they are...... "

Prof. Iain Greenwood, St George's, University of London

  • "The most important ion channel meeting in Europe."

Jean-Francois Rolland, Director Biological Sciences, Axxam
