ICMS' 26 New York: Bringing together experts in Ion Channel Modulation
We are excited to welcome you to the Ion Channel Modulation Symposium (ICMS®) this year in New York at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine. Co-hosted by Professor Stefan Feske from New York University and the ICTI Program at NYU Langone School of Medicine and Sophion Bioscience, this sixth U.S. edition of ICMS provides a unique forum for scientific exchange, collaboration, and innovation in ion channel research.
This year, we celebrate 10 years of ICMS
From the very first symposium in Cambridge, UK, in 2016 to today, this meeting brings together leading voices in the field to highlight the latest advances in ion channel modulation and reflect on how the community has evolved over the past ten years.
For years, ICMS has kept attendees at the forefront of ion channel modulation through focused presentations, discussions, poster sessions, and valuable networking with leading scientists and industry experts. The meeting covers a broad range of ion channels, addressing key issues in their modulation for drug discovery while spotlighting emerging technologies and innovative approaches shaping the future of ion‑channel research—whether in New York, Tokyo, Cambridge, or beyond.

The ICMSÂ brings together a broad range of people from academia, CROs and the pharmaceutical industry to discuss the science of ion channel modulation. Our symposium will feature more than 20 speakers from labs around the world presenting to around 130 attendees.
Combined Sophion & IonLab workshop preceding ICMS 2026
As a related event, the “Towards Automated Patch-Clamp Electrophysiology of Immune Cells” workshop will take place on October 23, 2026, at NYU Langone Health, immediately preceding ICMS 2026.
This one-day workshop will bring together researchers interested in ion channels, electrophysiology, and immune cell biology, featuring presentations, a hands-on QPatch II demonstration, and discussions of emerging applications of electrophysiology in immunology.
