Forging groundbreaking scientific collaboration with Scope Research Institute of Electrophysiology in China
Scope Research Institute of Electrophysiology (Scope), a leading contract research organization (CRO) founded by a team of experienced scientists passionate about ion channels, and Sophion Bioscience A/S (Sophion), a pioneering life science company specializing in automated patch clamp and cell line solutions, proudly announce the inauguration of their scientific collaboration agreement aimed at expanding Ion Channel research and the scientific validation of Automated Patch Clamp technology in China. This partnership signifies a significant milestone in the pursuit of scientific innovation and underscores a shared commitment to pushing the boundaries of scientific discovery in the field of electrophysiology.

The key parts of the collaboration include:
- Expanding Scientific Validation: The collaboration will focus on expanding the scientific validation of Automated Patch Clamp technology in China, leveraging the expertise and resources of both organizations to conduct rigorous experimentation and research.
- Providing Laboratory Facilities for Training and Demonstrations: SCOPE, situated in the historically rich city of Kaifeng, China, boasts a state-of-the-art laboratory spanning 1300 m². Equipped with cutting-edge technologies such as patch clamp rigs, multi-electrode systems, and Langendorff & working heart systems, Scope offers comprehensive cardiac and neuronal ion channel screening services, preclinical cardiac safety assessments, and drug discovery assays. The institute will provide laboratory facilities for training and demonstration purposes for electrophysiologists in China, fostering greater understanding and proficiency among researchers.
- Collaboration on Seminars and Training Sessions: The agreement includes collaboration on seminars and training sessions for electrophysiologists in China, where the QPatch Compact system will be integrated into the program. These sessions will be conducted jointly by experts from both SCOPE and Sophion, enhancing the educational experience and knowledge dissemination.
- Joint Scientific Research: Both parties will work together on generating further scientific research into electrophysiology in China, with a focus on advancing understanding and exploring new avenues of research.
